Skills for Life Basketball Academy is a premier summer day camp for young men between 9 and 14 years of age. The Academy is coached by internationally renowned basketball player Curley “Boo” Johnson with assistance from top high school players from the Peoria the area.

ACADEMY VISION

Johnson, an outstanding role model, has the vision to afford local young men of all economic positions the opportunity to greatly advance their basketball skills on the court, as well as improve and maintain positive life skills outside the gym.

ACADEMY VALUES

The camp’s motto is “Skills for Life – Improving Your Game On and Off the Court.”   Our core values are Teamwork, Integrity and Respect.  These values are the foundation of our teachings in the program.
